A
good Life Coach / Counselor, in my opinion, is a mixture between a cheerleader, a taskmaster, a guiding companion, a non-judgmental
friend, a personal trainer and a personal mentor. A good Life
Coach / Counselor will find out who you are, what your goals in life are, and the best possible way for your to achieve
them in the least amount of time. A good Life Coach / Counselor will believe in you, bring out the
best in you, congratulate you and share in your successes, and pick you up and encourage you when you feel you are not moving
as quickly as you might like. A good Life Coach / Counselor will NOT tell you what to do, but will
urge you to discover your own possibilities for a great life and future. A good Life Coach / Counselor will
NOT tell you, “Here, follow in my footsteps and I will get you where you want to go,” but will
rather help you find your own, unique pathway to travel in order to become the fulfilled person you wish
to be. A good Life Coach / Counselor has been through one or more training courses to learn techniques
that will become invaluable to your future growth. It does not matter so much which training course
your Life Coach / Counselor has been through, or how many hours of training he/she has done, but rather your level
of “comfort” with the coach you choose…your trust in the Life Coach / Counselor to help with YOUR
particular needs and wants…your desire and ability to “see it through” and the feeling that only you will
know, that you have selected the “right” person to guide you through the process you are about to undertake!
It can be a wonderful, enlightening adventure, which is why Life Coaching / Counseling is becoming so well known and
accepted throughout the country.
There
are Life Coaches / Counselors for business executives and for those seeking financial success; there are Life Coaches
/ Counselors for those who are in the midst of career changes due to the current economic conditions we face; there are
Life Coaches / Counselors for students wishing to get into better colleges. You name it, and you’ll
probably find a Life Coach who specializes in that area! My specialty, and the reason I went into the Life
Coaching / Counseling field, is Weight Loss. As you read on, you will discover more about my passion
for this subject and why it is my primary goal in the Life Coaching / Counseling Field.
I am also a competent Life Coach / Counselor in
other areas including Menopause, Mid-life change, Relocation issues, Empty Nest Syndrome and various other issues that predominantly
concern women. I have the added experience of having been a psychologist in North Carolina since 1999.
However, as you may be aware, one does not have to live in proximity to his/her Life Coach / Counselor to receive
the benefits of Life Coaching / Counseling. The internet has opened a wide array of possibilities for Life
Coaches / Counselors to be in communication with their clients, via phone, e-mail, Skype, Internet Cameras and many other
venues. I would love to be your Life Coach / Counselor, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Most
Life Coaching / Counseling occurs over the telephone. I also do internet coaching via IM, and "In-Person"
if we life close enough. I am currently a Life Coach / Counselor in the Raleigh, NC area. As long
as I'm in this area, I can also see you as a psychologist. In the next few months, I may be relocating to Florida.
I will keep the website updated as changes occur.
